The Transporting Arts Program brings public art to train stations and tram stops across Victoria, creating welcoming and engaging places for passengers and local communities.
Delivered in partnership with the Department of Transport and Planning, Yarra Trams, V/Line and local councils, the program transforms transport spaces through murals, installations and other creative works by local artists.
The newest sites are at the heart of the program, showcasing how public art can enrich everyday journeys and create vibrant places that reflect the character of their local communities.
Each artwork is developed in collaboration with artists and local stakeholders, helping to tell the stories of the places people live, work and travel through. The result is a transport network that feels more welcoming and connected to the communities it serves.
