Become a Supplier

Metro welcomes opportunities to work with new suppliers

We are committed to using our buying power to deliver improved social, economic and environmental outcomes for Victorians.
To become a supplier, a supplier must:

• Participate in tender or quote that you are invited to, or
• Express interest in supplying to Metro via our online form.

Onboarding a Supplier

When an organisation has been identified to be suitable for supplying to Metro, the supplier will be onboarded with the following requirements:

  • Supplier Qualification: Our suppliers are required to be registered and achieving a compliant status in the Rail Industry Contractor and Supplier Qualification Program (RICSQP) via the Avetta platform.
  • Transaction Platform: Our suppliers are required to have at a minimum a standard supplier account with SAP Ariba, Metro’s preferred procure-to-pay platform.
  • Marking of Parts and Components: Goods supplied to Metro are required to be marked, identified and barcoded in accordance with the GS1 Implementation Guidelines
Tender Opportunities

Most Metro tenders are by invitation only. Organisations that have expressed their interest to become a supplier via the online form will be considered for relevant tender invitation.

If Metro is running an open tender, it will be communicated via SAP Ariba Supplier portal
