Werribee Line

Werribee

Works Alert
24 Jul 18:30 - 25 Jul 1:30

Buses will be replacing trains Newport to Laverton via Altona after 8:30pm due to the Bayside Rail Project works. This may increase your journey time by up to 30 minutes. This does not affect Werribee trains running direct between Newport & Laverton.

As we upgrade our network with the Regional Rail Link and Springvale Level Crossing Removal projects, we also need to train our drivers on the new sections of track. In order to complete the training as quickly as possible and with the lowest impact to the network, we will be implementing some planned cancellations from 22 April – 30 May.

22 July 2014 - 24 July 2014

Due to upgrades taking place as part of the Bayside Rail Project, buses will replace trains between Newport and Laverton.

Please note, this affects services stopping at Seaholme, Altona and Westona stations only. Express trains, Newport to Laverton, will continue to operate.

Together, the Frankston, Werribee and Williamstown lines form the Cross City Group, allowing trains originating at Frankston to travel through the city to form Werribee and Williamstown trains. This means that although the majority of Bayside Rail Project works will take place on the Frankston line, some works on the Werribee and Williamstown lines will be required at times. To find out more about the Bayside Rail Project, click here.

Please note that your journey may increase by up to 30 minutes.

Please note in accordance with the Victorian Fares & Ticketing Manual 2014, bicycles, surfboards and dogs are not permitted to travel on buses. An exception exists for guide dogs, hearing guide dogs, guide dogs in training, animals identified by an Assistance Animal Pass and small animals if they are suitably contained.
