After 8:30pm, buses will replace trains between Newport and Laverton (via Altona) due to Bayside Rail Project works.  Werribee trains will run direct between Newport & Laverton and stop all stations between Laverton & Werribee.  Please note that this may increase your journey time by up to 25 minutes.

20 October 2014 - 23 October 2014

As part of the Bayside Rail Project, rail infrastructure is being upgraded on the Werribee line to allow new X’Trapolis trains to travel across the Frankston and Werribee/Williamstown lines.

While these works are being carried out after 8:30pm each night between Monday 20 and Thursday 23 October, trains will run express from Newport to Laverton then stop all stations to Werribee. Buses will replace trains for customers at Seaholme, Altona and Westona stations only.

Please note that your journey may increase by up to 30 minutes.

Please note in accordance with the Victorian Fares & Ticketing Manual 2014, bicycles, surfboards and dogs are not permitted to travel on buses. An exception exists for guide dogs, hearing guide dogs, guide dogs in training, animals identified by an Assistance Animal Pass and small animals if they are suitably contained.
