26 May 2015 - 24 June 2015

What’s happening?

Works were initially expected to be completed by 22 May 2015. However, the program has been rescheduled due to unforseen circumstances, and is now expected to commence after 26 May 2015. We will endevour to minimise out of hours works to two consecutive nights during this period and should be completed within four weeks.

How will this affect me?

Due to the nature of the works and equipment required, including asphalt trucks and jackhammers, medium to high level construction noise may be experienced at times.

To minimise construction impacts, the Metro team and our contractors will aim to reduce excessive noise and will make every effort to minimise disturbance to residents.

While we will make every effort to complete works within these time frames, some activities may need to be rescheduled in the event of bad weather or other unavoidable circumstances.

We thank you in advance for your understanding during these works.

For further information, please contact PTV on 1800 800 007 (6 am–midnight, 7 days) and quote “Improving Station Accessibility Project”.

7 June 2015 - 12 June 2015

What’s happening?

We are upgrading the track at North Brighton Station, including sleeper replacement. These works are essential to ensure the ongoing safety and efficiency of the network.

These works will take place each night between 10pm and 4am commencing Sunday 7 June and continuing through until Friday 12 June.

We will endeavour to minimise the amount of time required for night works at each location along the line.

These track works are expected to be completed by 4am Friday 12 June.

How will this affect me?

Due to the nature of the works and heavy machinery required, including excavators, loaders and trucks, medium – high level construction noise may be experienced.

Where required, audible track safety measures may also be deployed to warn train drivers of work taking place on the line ahead.

To minimise construction impacts, the Metro team and our contractors will aim to reduce excessive noise and will make every effort to minimise disturbance to residents.

Lighting towers will be installed near worksites and will be directed away from residents where possible.

While we will make every effort to complete works within these time frames, some activities may need to be rescheduled in the event of bad weather or other unavoidable circumstances.

We thank you in advance for your understanding during these works.

FURTHER INFORMATION

For further information, please contact PTV on 1800 800 007 (6am–midnight, 7 days) and quote “Track Works: North Brighton Station”.
