22 August 2015 - 20 September 2015

What’s happening?

We are undertaking drainage works in the tunnels between Jolimont and Clifton Hill stations. The works are essential to ensure the ongoing safety and efficiency of the network.

These works will take place on the following nights:
· 11pm Saturday 22 August – 8am Sunday 23 August
· 11pm Saturday 29 August – 8am Sunday 30 August
· 11pm Saturday 5 September – 8am Sunday 6 September
· 11pm Saturday 12 September – 8am Sunday 13 September
· 11pm Saturday 19 September – 8am Sunday 20 September
We will endeavour to minimise the amount of time required for night works.
Drainage works are expected to be completed by 8am Sunday 20 September.

How will this affect me?

Due to the nature of the works and machinery required, including vacuum excavators, low level construction noise may be experienced. Where required, audible track safety measures may also be deployed to warn train drivers of work taking place on the line ahead.

To minimise construction impacts, the Metro team and our contractors will aim to reduce excessive noise and will make every effort to minimise disturbance to residents.

Lighting towers will be installed near work sites and will be directed away from residents where possible. Traffic management will be in place to allow construction vehicles to enter the worksite at Ramsden Street Level Crossing, Clifton Hill.

While we will make every effort to complete works within these time frames, some activities may need to be rescheduled in the event of bad weather or other unavoidable circumstances.

We thank you in advance for your understanding during these works.

For further information, please contact PTV on 1800 800 007 (6am–midnight) and quote “Jolimont Tunnel Drain Works”.
