WHEN IS THIS OCCURING?
These changes will take place from Monday 29 February until mid-2017.

HOW WILL THIS AFFECT ME?
The changes to Bayswater Station include:

  • Closure of the car park at Bayswater Station
  • Pedestrian access to the station will be via Station Street only
  • The existing walking/cycling path will be temporarily relocated to Station Street.

  • From Saturday 21 May, Bayswater Station car park will be closed to allow for the construction of the new station and bus interchange.
  • From Monday 2 May, a shuttle bus service will be trialled to assist customers accessing the station from Bayswater Oval. The shuttle bus will depart from Mountain Highway, in front of the Knox Community Arts Centre and travel to the station between 6am-9am and 4pm-7pm (Monday to Friday ONLY). The shuttle bus will operate approximately every 6 minutes. Disability permit parking will remain at the station throughout construction. Bayswater Station customers may wish to consider alternative modes of transport to and from the station, including local buses, cycling and walking. To view a map of the changes at Bayswater Station, click here.

5 March 2017 - 8 March 2017

Due to maintenance work on track infrastructure, structures and facilities, electrical networks and signalling, there will be night works between Southern Cross and Richmond stations.

WHEN IS THIS OCCURRING?
These works will take place for four nights from 9pm until 4am Sunday 5 to Wednesday 8 March.

Works are expected to be completed by 4am Thursday 9 March.

HOW WILL THIS AFFECT ME?
Due to the nature of the works and heavy machinery required, including special track machines, excavators, front end loaders and chainsaws, medium – high level construction noise will be experienced.

While these works take place you may also experience more local traffic from work vehicles and replacement bus services.

To minimise construction impacts, the Metro team and our contractors will aim to reduce excessive noise and will make every effort to minimise disturbance to residents.

While we will make every effort to complete works within these time frames, some activities may need to be rescheduled in the event of bad weather or other unavoidable circumstances.

These works are to ensure the ongoing safety and efficiency of the network.

We thank you in advance for your understanding during these works.
