Throughout April works will take place to build the eastern entrance of the Metro Tunnel Project and upgrade power and signalling across the network.

During this period there will be changes at and around stations on the Cranbourne and Pakenham lines. For your safety, please observe any signage and instructions put in place during these works.

During construction, plan your travel and consider alternative transport to nearby stations and car parks.

Full and partial car park closures

Caulfield Station

From 5pm Friday 22 March to 4am Monday 25 March
From 6pm Wednesday 27 March to 4am Thursday 28 March

  • 25 on-street car spaces on Normanby Road are closed
  • 25 on-street car spaces on Sir John Monash Drive are closed
  • 40 spaces in the Normanby Road car park are closed

Oakleigh Station

From 11pm Tuesday 26 March to 4am Friday 29 March

  • Sections of on-street parking on Haughton Road, between Johnson Street and Mill Road are closed.
  • Car park under Warrigal Road bridge closed.

Westall Station

From 11pm Tuesday 26 March to 4am Friday 29 March

  • Westall Station Rayhur Street car park closed.
  • On-street parking on Rayhur Street, between Kombi Road and Westall Road is closed.
  • On-street parking on the Eastern side of Kombi Road, between Centre Road and Rayhur Street is closed.
  • Accessible parking spaces are being relocated to the Westall Station Autumn Terrace car park.

Noble Park Station

From 11pm Tuesday 26 March to 4am Friday 29 March
On-street parking on sections of Douglas Street, between Leonard Avenue and Stuart Street, is closed.

Dandenong Station

From 11pm Tuesday 26 March to 4am Friday 29 March

  • Dandenong Station’s Cheltenham Road western car park is closed.
  • 15 car spaces in the Eastern section of the Cheltenham Road car park are closed.
  • Accessible parking spaces are being relocated to the eastern section of the car park.

Officer Station

Vehicle access to the laneway is closed.

Pakenham Station

On-street parking on Railway Avenue, between Main Street and Henry Street, is closed.

Due to the need for last minute maintenance work, there will be night works at Dandenong Station and between Beaconsfield and Pakenham stations.

Due to the nature of the works and heavy machinery required, including specialised track machines, excavators, front-end loaders and chainsaws, medium – high level construction noise may be experienced.

Every effort will be made to complete works within these time frames, some activities may need to be rescheduled in the event of bad weather or other unavoidable circumstances.

These works are to ensure the ongoing safety and efficiency of the network.
