5 July 2015 - 24 July 2015

What’s happening?

We are upgrading the track, including undertaking mudspot night works, between Richmond and Hawksburn Stations.

These works will take place each night between 10pm and 6am commencing Sunday 5 July and continuing through until Friday 24 July.

These works are expected to be completed by 6am Friday 24 July.

How will this affect me?

Due to the nature of the works and heavy machinery required, including excavators, loaders and trucks, medium – high level construction noise may be experienced.

Where required, audible track safety measures may also be deployed to warn train drivers of work taking place on the line ahead.

To minimise construction impacts, the Metro team and our contractors will aim to reduce excessive noise and will make every effort to minimise disturbance to residents.

Lighting towers will be installed near work sites and will be directed away from residents where possible.

While we will make every effort to complete works within these time frames, some activities may need to be rescheduled in the event of bad weather or other unavoidable circumstances.

We thank you in advance for your understanding during these important works.

For further information, please contact PTV on 1800 800 007 (6am–midnight, 7 days) and quote “Mudspot Works: Richmond to Hawksburn”.
