1 May 2015 - 30 June 2015

While facility upgrade works take place at Dandenong Station,10 car spaces are required in the station’s Rudduck Street car park from Friday 1 May to Tuesday 30 June 2015.

During this time car parking at this station will be unavailable at various times for the safety of station patrons, to provide safe working space for our workers and to store construction machinery such piling rigs during weekend works.

These works are essential to ensure the ongoing safety and efficiency of the network and will take place as part of a wider strategy to upgrade the Cranbourne/Pakenham line.

Please note the time and duration of our works may change due to circumstances beyond our control.

We will provide an update if there is a delay or change to the work schedule.

We thank you in advance for your patience during these works.

For more information visit ptv.vic.gov.au or call 1800 800 007 (6am – midnight) and quote “Metro DDP Dandenong Station”.

12 June 2015 - 18 June 2015

What’s happening?

We are upgrading the pit at Armadale Station including undertaking re-railing, sleeper and ballast works. These works are essential to ensure the ongoing safety and efficiency of the network.

These works will take place continuously from 9pm Friday 12 June until 4am Monday 15 June and nightly between 10pm and 6am commencing Monday 15 June and continuing until Thursday 18 June.

We will endeavour to minimise the amount of time required for night works at each location along the line.

These track works are expected to be completed by 6am Thursday 18 June.

How will this affect me?

Due to the nature of the works and heavy machinery required, including excavators, loaders and trucks, medium – high level construction noise may be experienced.

Where required, audible track safety measures may also be deployed to warn train drivers of work taking place on the line ahead.

To minimise construction impacts, the Metro team and our contractors will aim to reduce excessive noise and will make every effort to minimise disturbance to residents.

Lighting towers will be installed near worksites and will be directed away from residents where possible.

While we will make every effort to complete works within these time frames, some activities may need to be rescheduled in the event of bad weather or other unavoidable circumstances.

We thank you in advance for your understanding during these works.
