
Preston Station changes
The following changes will take place at Preston Station, while project works take place:
Early 2021 to Late 2022
Temporary station facilities
The customer service office, toilets and Protective Service Officer (PSO) pod have been relocated to the western side of the station (access via Murray Road) until late 2022. Trains continue to operate from the station platforms, except during planned or unplanned disruptions.
Pedestrian access changes
Passengers can access both platforms via Murray Road (no access via Cramer Street). A pedestrian detour is in place via St Georges Road.
Car parking
The car parks at Preston Station are closed. Passengers arriving by car are encouraged to drive and park at Regent and Reservoir stations.
Accessible parking
Passengers are advised to use the accessible spaces in the western car park at Preston Station near the temporary customer service office (access via St Georges Road).
Parkiteer closure
The Parkiteer cage is closed and bicycle hoops are available near the customer service office. A Parkiteer cage is available at Reservoir Station for cyclists who want to secure their bike.
From 27 April 2021 to late 2022
The Parkiteer bicycle cage at Preston Station is closed, due to project works.
Note that 12 bicycle hoops will be available within the temporary station facilities from May 6.
Alternatively passengers are advised to use the Parkiteer bicycle cage at Reservoir Station.
