The brand-new Lilydale and Mooroolbark stations open on Friday 19 November with new facilities including lifts, toilets, myki gates, ticketing offices and waiting rooms. At Lilydale, the new bus interchange will be open in its new location on William Street East.
While you catch the train, you may notice some ongoing works as we put the finishing touches on the new stations at Mooroolbark and Lilydale.

Mooroolbark Station
At Mooroolbark, we will continue working into 2022 to:
• open bus bays, taxi drop-off and ‘kiss and ride’ zones
• open accessible parking spaces within the station car park
• complete the new multi-deck car park
• finish bike cages and hoops
• install seating and shared use paths
• complete the new casual gathering area in the open space on the
west of Manchester Road
• plant 60,000 trees, shrubs, and grasses across both station precincts
• put on finishing touches such as paint, cladding and architectural surfaces
• install artwork, including commissioning artwork on the digital screen.

Lilydale Station
At Lilydale, we will continue working into 2022 to:
• install seating and shared use paths
• plant 60,000 trees, shrubs, and grasses across both station precincts
• finish the bike cages and hoops
• finishing touches such as paint, cladding and architectural surfaces
• commission artwork on the lift tower digital screens
• refurbish the old Lilydale Station and build the new forecourt
• complete the eastern station car park
• finish the new open space which reflects community feedback.
