Glen Waverley Line July upgrade works

Due to significant upgrade and improvement works taking place on the Glen Waverley line from Saturday 7 July – Sunday 22 July, buses will replace trains between various sections of the line from Burnley to Glen Waverley during this time.   

Customers please note extra evening works have been added to the Glen Waverley line upgrade to complete the works.  

Tuesday 17 July - Thursday 19 July after 8pm

On Tuesday 17, Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 July, trains will not run on the Glen Waverley line after 8pm (the last train to Glen Waverley is the 7.29pm from Flinders, the last train to the city is the 7.51 from Glen Waverley).  Buses will replace all services between Burnley and Glen Waverley during this time.  Customers travelling from the city should take a Belgrave/Lilydale train to Burnley and transfer to the bus service.

Saturday 21 July & Sunday 22 July
Buses Burnley - Glen Waverley

For customers travelling to and from the city, buses will replace all trains between Burnley and Glen Waverley.  

As journey times will be extended by up to 30 minutes, we advise customers to check altered travel times with PTV on 1800 800 007.

The buses will stop at:
Burnley - near the intersection of Swan and Burnley Streets.
Heyington – to the city: At the bus stop opposite station in Heyington Place.  From the city: At the bus stop outside station entrance in Heyington Place.
Kooyong – to the city: At the bus stop near the intersection of Glenferrie and Toorak Roads. From the city: At the bus stop near the intersection of Glenferrie and Toorak Roads.
Tooronga – to the city: At the bus stop opposite station in Milton Parade.  From the city: At the bus stop near corner of Milton Parade and Tooronga Road
Gardiner -  to the city: At the Yarra Tram stop number 50 in Malvern Rd near the intersection of Burke Rd. From the city: At the Yarra Tram stop number 50 in Malvern Rd near the intersection of Burke Rd.
Glen Iris – to the city: At the bus stop near the intersection of High Street and Malvern Rd. From the city: At the bus stop near the intersection of High Street and Malvern Rd.
Darling –At the bus stop opposite the station car park in Clynden Avenue.
East Malvern - At the bus stop in Malvern Rd near the intersection of Waverley Road
Holmesglen – to the city: At the bus stop in Warrigal Rd near the intersection of Power Street.  From the city: At the bus stop in Warrigal Rd opposite Holmesglen TAFE.
Jordanville - At the bus stop opposite station in Windsor Avenue.
Mount Waverley – to the city: At the bus stop outside the station entrance in Miller Crescent.  From the city: At the bus stop opposite the station in Miller Crescent  
Syndal – to the city: At the bus stop opposite the station in Coleman Parade. From the city: At the bus stop outside the station car park in Coleman Parade
Glen Waverley  - At the bus stop at station car park in Coleman Parade.

Please note: In accordance with the Victorian Fares and Ticketing Manual 2012, bicycles, surfboards and dogs are not permitted to travel on buses. An exception exists for guide dogs, hearing guide dogs or guide dogs in training and small animals if they are suitably contained.
