South Morang & Hurstbridge line changes this long weekend

Over the Labour Day long weekend we’ll be performing significant works on sections of the South Morang & Hurstbridge lines.
Works taking place include:

-- Replacement of the Victoria Street rail bridge at North Richmond station. This new steel decked bridge will increase the      strength of the bridge and reduce the need for maintenance works in the future.
-- Removal of mud spots and soft ground patches along the track, resulting in a more comfortable ride for customers.
-- Removal and replacement of sleepers and ballast cleaning between Flinders Street and Jolimont stations, this will improve the stability of the track and increase the reliability of the services along the line.
