Yarraville

Where the Sun lights up stars on a silver screen, the action plays out long into the evening.

Out West where the Werribee and Williamstown lines stretch away to the horizon there's a place where the local scene revolves around a cinema. Hop off at Yarraville station and it's hard not to be impressed by the majestic Sun Theatre. Offering six Art Deco screening-rooms that have been restored to their original splendour, the atmosphere inside is worthy of Hollywood's golden age.

The Chinese five-spice duck at ‘The Bank' is good reason not to fill up on too much popcorn. Or if you've just seen a matinee, perhaps you might like to stretch your legs with a quick spot of shopping. At Village Idiom there's lots of fascinating objects designed to catch your eye, or perhaps you'd prefer to pick out a hardcover at the stylish Sun bookstore. After dark, it's always cocktail hour at Acqua e Vino where the ambience feels like something from a classic Hollywood movie. It's the perfect setting for a five star night of entertainment and it's there to stage right of Yarraville station.
