Metro Update Profiles

10 September

Michael Krause, Customer Resolutions Coordinator

Since Metro commenced, Michael has been part of the important customer resolution team.  With over two years experience in customer service, Michael’s daily responsibility is to provide information to customers and help resolve customer concerns about their travel experience with Metro.

Interestingly, when Michael isn’t working he is busy completing his PhD in Politics at Monash University.

A sports mad Australian bloke, Michael is a dedicated follower of pretty much all forms of sport and, despite being Melbourne born and bred, is a vocal West Coast Eagles supporter who loves to read the sport section of the paper on his morning train ride to work.

Mere Yakopo, Leading Platform Assistant, Flinders Street Station

Having joined Metro in January, Mere has a range of duties in her customer service role at Flinders Street station including providing customers with up-to-date travel information, assisting customers with special needs and helping to get the trains departing on-time.

A passionate lover of music, Mere takes after her father, a musician himself, and plays keyboard, bass, drums and guitar.  She is also a director of a gospel choir and an accomplished singer in her own right. Not the only talented family member, Mere’s brother Daniel plays for the Wallabies Sevens and is currently awaiting selection for the Commonwealth Games in Delhi.  Go Daniel!

Mere came to Australia from Fiji at the age of ten with her family and is thrilled to be one of the faces of the new Metro Update television commercial.
